The World Radiography Education Trust Foundation (WRETF) encourages radiology and radiotherapy departments in developed countries to support facilities in emerging economies through twinning.
WRETF currently have three x-ray/imaging departments in hospitals in Zimbabwe which would like to work with counterparts in the UK.
Twinning is not difficult, according to Sue Marchant, the Trust's general manager. It involves passing on copies of recent journals, books, and sharing experience.
Co-ordination is carried out by WRETF. Details will be supplied and contacts given so that communication and a sustainable relationship can be established and maintained.
