The DH have put a strict consultation period of 2 weeks in place for this consultation, meaning the closing date for SoR members to comment is 31 July 2017.

The aim of the Directive is to update and consolidate five existing directives and one Commission recommendation relating to radiation protection into one Basic Safety Standards Directive (BSSD).

This consultation will seek views on specific elements of the regulations that are due to come into force on 6 February 2018.

If you would like to share your feedback as part of the formal SCoR response, please submit your comments to Maria Murray, [email protected] Professional Officer for Radiation Protection, by Tuesday 25 July.
