A diagnostic radiographer and SoR IR rep will be showcasing the profession to the thousands of followers of the @NHS Twitter account in April.
Thomas Welton is following in the steps of Teresa Howe, a therapeutic radiographer who took over the account last summer.
During the week, commencing 2 April, Thomas plans to showcase the varied work carried out by diagnostic radiographers across a range of modalities.
“I have been watching the @NHS twitter account for a while now and after seeing Teresa’s week I thought it about time a diagnostic radiographer showed their career to the nation,” he commented.
“Radiography is such a diverse job that I have so much content to fit in. I aim to have a very varied week from general x-ray, theatre, mobile, CT and MRI to name a few.
“I have actively tried to promote our profession within my trust the last year or so through my industrial relations rep work and this twitter week is set to show what we are capable of as radiographers.
“I’m really looking forward to it.”
