The College of Radiographers is seeking an Outreach Officer to work as part of a Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE)/Office for Students (OfS) project to promote therapeutic radiography.
The Strategic Interventions in Health Education (SIHED) programme is a new initiative which includes the appointment of Outreach Officers to support promotion and increase recruitment of the specialist allied health professions, one of which is therapeutic radiography.

For the role as an outreach office for therapeutic radiography you will:
You will work in parallel with Outreach Officers for the other AHP disciplines, and will contribute to meeting the objectives of the SIHED programme: to increase awareness of and stimulate demand for the disciplines in scope.
Promotion of the profession will require engagement with key stakeholders to raise awareness of the career with prospective students.
You will facilitate relationships with target schools, colleges, education providers and oncology centres, as well as being a highly organised and enthusiastic practitioner able to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will work with a range of target audiences, communicating complex information about higher education and promoting the unique selling points of the profession and the programmes available at approved education providers.
Close links with officers of SCoR approved providers of therapeutic radiography education will be essential to set priorities and agree/co-ordinate activities.
This new role is initially established as a one-year contract (potentially renewable) within the SCoR and secondment is an option for potential post holders (in line with available funding).
