With the upcoming delivery of the ACP multi-professional framework and the development of consultant and advanced clinical practice across England, a newsletter has been introduced to keep subscribers informed about the work being undertaken.

The first edition has now been published and is packed full of information surrounding advanced clinical practice.

Beverley Harden, consultant and advanced clinical practice lead from Health Education England, states in her introduction, “We wanted to get this first introductory update out to signal our intent to keep you informed about the work that is being undertaken and to help you get involved in the important journey ahead.

“We will endeavour to ensure that future editions contain the level of detail you need and we welcome feedback on future topics and areas of interest.”

Direct links are published to the new online ACP toolkit, a joint venture between HEE, NHS England, NHS Improvement and NHS Employers that provides helpful resources, and the Council of Deans of Health ACP report that summarises universities’ views on ACP and recommends future steps.

Also included in the newsletter, an event summary of ACP Conference 2018, which gave delegates the chance to be part of shaping the future, and updates on current and upcoming frameworks and censuses.

Beverley concludes, “May I take this opportunity to thank everyone for your interest and commitment to this important agenda.”
