Members of the radiography workforce who are not directly employed by the NHS but who are on Agenda for Change contracts will also receive the recently agreed pay rise for NHS staff in England.

The extension of the deal includes staff who are employed by organisations which provide services commissioned by NHS CCGs (clinical commissioning groups) and by NHS England.

"This is an important and very welcome development for SoR members working in the private sector under Agenda for Change contracts," commented Paul Bromley, the Society's Regional Officer for London.

"If you are uncertain whether this applies to you, contact your employer," Paul continued.

The government has issued details of the additional funding which has been made available to NHS and non-statutory non-NHS employers to increase pay for staff on AfC based contracts of employment.
