HCPC seeks experts to assess education providers

The HCPC is inviting diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers to apply to become ‘visitors’ to help provide oversight of education and training providers.

Why are HCPC looking for Visitors?

Tracey Samuel-Smith, HCPC Education Manager explains: “Visitors are responsible for visiting and assessing existing and proposed education and training programmes delivered by education providers.

Visitors make a real difference to the work we do. There is the opportunity to get involved and help to safeguard people using our registrant’s services by ensuring education and training programmes meet our standards. 

“Visitors also provide recommendations to the HCPC’s Education & Training Committee regarding the approval or on-going approval of programmes.”

Applicants should have an understanding of quality assurance in higher education or a clinical environment, and also teaching and learning and assessment in educational/clinical environments. They should have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Visitors undertake work for approximately five to ten days a year and a visit normally takes two days and there are monitoring responsibilities.

To become a Visitor you must be registered with the HCPC.

Remuneration

This role pays a rate of £202 a day and £81 for a review. Any travel and accommodation expenses are paid in accordance with the HCPC Expenses Policy.
