Imaging & Therapy Practice journal is asking for articles for the annual student competition. Winning entries will be published in a special edition in October, dedicated exclusively to the winning students’ work.
The response to the competition over the past few years has been so positive that it is now a permanent fixture in the Imaging & Therapy Practice journal calendar.
Each higher education institution is invited to submit outstanding pieces of work produced by a pre-registration radiography student or group of students – an essay on a topic relevant to the profession, a case study, a critique of an aspect of practice, or another contribution entirely.
A panel of judges at the College of Radiographers will choose the five best from those that have been submitted. Additionally, there are other prizes for highly commended articles and one article will be awarded best overall CPD prize.
There will be a cash prize for each winning author and an all-expenses paid invitation to the 2020 student conference to receive an award.
The work can be overseen by the student’s supervisor or an academic member of staff and can be part of the student’s coursework or something written especially for I&TP.
However, the articles should not be co-authored with a tutor or member of staff, but be purely the student’s own work. And entrants must be members of the Society & College of Radiographers.
The final deadline date for submissions is 28 May 2019.
And remember, even if the students aren’t placed in the top five, the chances are that their articles will still be published in subsequent issues
of I&TP. In fact, the standard of the articles in 2018 was so high, that almost all submissions will be seen in regular editions of the journal this year.
