An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team of professional officers at the Society and College of Radiographers and take a lead role in the organisation’s work relative to clinical imaging practice and services.

We are looking particularly for individuals with a strong and diverse clinical imaging portfolio.

Key roles are:

  • recognising and capitalising on opportunities to enhance the practice and contribution of members of the profession
  • taking a lead role in identifying and contributing to external consultations that may impinge on professional practice, patients or clinical imaging services
  • developing relevant guidance and advice for the profession, working with other organisations on matters of common interest
  • working collaboratively and effectively with other team members.

The post holder(s) will be expected to travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas, with some short periods away from home, and some weekend working. Speaking in public is also necessary.

This is a full-time post but because of the range of expertise we are looking for, we will consider applications for part-time and job-sharing according to the range of expertise offered by applicants.

The post is based either at the Society’s offices in London, or at an agreed remote work base. Salary is at Grade D (£46,647-£51,038 p.a.), with London weighting of £5029 if based at the London Office.

We are looking for an exceptional person or persons with:

  • Recognised expertise and leadership in defined area(s) of professional practice
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
  • A postgraduate qualification or equivalent related to clinical imaging practice
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council or other regulatory body, if relevant
