New CoR/RCR ISAS officer appointed

Christine Woodgate has been appointed as the new joint College of Radiographers and Royal College of Radiologists ISAS officer.

Christine brings over 35 years of experience to the position, having qualified as a radiographer from the Central Middlesex School of Radiographers in 1980.

Since then, she’s held a number of clinical and leadership roles around the country, including as Radiology Manager at Poole Hospital, Divisional Manager for Neurosciences at South Tees University Hospitals Trust and as Managing Director for the Clinical Diagnostic and Support Services Centre at STUHT.

She also holds an MSc in Transformational Leadership in Health & Social Care, which she received in July this year.

Christine commented: “I’m delighted to be selected as ISAS officer for the CoR and the RCR. Radiology and radiography is where my heart truly lies, so I’m honoured to be part of this exciting project.”

Some of Christine’s responsibilities will include:

  • Engagement with imaging services across the UK and relevant other stakeholders
  • Support for services undergoing ISAS accreditation, including developing their understanding of the process and facilitating communication with the Colleges and UKAS in relation to accreditation
  • Promoting the short and long term benefits of quality management, quality improvement and accreditation
  • Liaising with UKAS, particularly in encouraging take up of the Scheme
