Newlyweds need your help

Kim and Jeremy Appleton, therapeutic radiographers at North Wales, Exeter and Plymouth cancer centres need your help to transform their lives, following Jeremy’s diagnosis with motor neurone disease, six weeks before their wedding earlier this month.

The couple are raising £100,000 to move from their three storey home to a one-storey, purpose built, wheelchair friendly house, with the facilities to help Jeremy be as independent as he can, and for both newlyweds to lead as normal lives as possible, and enjoy the time they have left together.

“Due to the speed at which Jez's condition is progressing, we need to make this move quickly to ensure that he can maintain a good quality of life," Kim says.

"However, the facilities needed come with a big price tag and we are calling out for help! Every penny will help our cause if you can spare it. It will mean the world to us to be able to maintain a level of 'normality' at the start of our married life,” Kim continues.

“Having this home would mean the world to us both. This is far from what we dreamed of as Mr & Mrs, but at least we can remain independent and make memories as a married couple in an environment suitable for Jez's needs, with the support from our family close by.”

“Any donation no matter how small will make a huge difference for us, so thank you so much for your support.”
