Do you know a colleague who’s worthy of national recognition for their outstanding patient care?

The BBC’s One Show are launching a dedicated awards ceremony to mark 70 years of the NHS and to say ‘thank you’ to the staff who make it a reality every day.

The One Show NHS Patients Awards invite members of the public and their families to recognise all health professions who have gone the extra mile to look after them.

In the Lifetime Achievement award category, nominations are also accepted from colleagues of healthcare workers who have had an exceptional career (recently retired colleagues will also be considered).

If you know somone who fits the bill, you can nominate them using this link before the deadline of midnight on Thursday 5 April.

All entries will be considered by a team of researchers and nominations will be selected to go before a panel of judges in each category based on their suitability and the information supplied by the nominee.

The winners of the first four categories will be revealed in a special edition of The One Show.

A full list of categories are below:

  • Children and young people’s care award
  • Healthcare award
