The 2018 Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (CAHPO) awards are now open for nominations.

The awards celebrate the outstanding contribution made by AHPs to improving health, care and wellbeing for patients and communities.

They are your chance to put forward a colleague who has displayed outstanding practise to be recognised on a national level and to raise the profile of the profession.

Last year, radiographer Nick Woznitza picked up two of the prizes on offer, including the overall award.

The categories for this year’s awards are:

  • AHP Student innovation – NHS Employers
  • AHP Support Worker of the Year – Public Health England
  • AHP Digital Practice – NHS Digital
  • AHP Quality Improvement – NHS Improvement
  • AHP Leader – Health Education England
  • NICE into Action – National Institute for Health and Care Excellence

Nominations are open until 29 March 2018, and can be submitted online.

Finalists will be invited to attend the Chief AHP Officer’s Awards Ceremony on 19 June 2018 in London where the winners will be announced.
