Ilsa K Bailey has been struck off the Health and Care Professions Council Register on the grounds of misconduct whilst employed as a radiographer for University Hospital North Midlands NHS Trust.
A panel heard that Mrs Bailey brought and consumed alcohol at work, and failed two sobriety tests. On another occasion she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at work.
Panel chair Mark Aspden commented, “Taking alcohol in to the workplace was unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour. The drinking of alcohol at work could have seriously impacted on the health, safety and wellbeing of her patients.”
The panel ordered for the name of Ilsa K Bailey to be struck off the HCPC Register.
Mrs Bailey attended the hearing via telephone.
