A radiographer has been struck off the HCPC Register following a criminal conviction.
Mr Christopher Daldorph was convicted at North Somerset Magistrates’ Court for number of serious offences, including the downloading of images and pornographic videos featuring children.
He is currently serving a 28-month prison sentence.
Panel Chair Professor Ian Hughes commented: “The nature and gravity of Mr Daldorph’s conviction for an offence of downloading a large quantity of child pornography and extreme pornography damages public confidence in him and in his profession.
“Public confidence would be severely undermined if a finding of impairment were not made in these circumstances.
“The public would be astounded if Mr Daldorph’s fitness to practise was found not to be impaired.”
Mr Daldorph was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
