A radiographer, Senu T Sejoro, has been suspended from the HCPC Register for a further 12 months following a substantive review of a suspension order originally imposed on 7 March 2017.
A panel of the Health and Care Professions Council Tribunal Service heard that Mr Sejoro was originally suspended for a year on the grounds of a lack of competence whilst employed at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The panel heard that Mr Sejoro’s failings included falling on to a patient’s abdomen during her 20 week scan, and then applying pressure to her abdomen by pushing himself to his feet.
The panel chair, Michael McCulley, commented, “The panel is satisfied that fair-minded and fully informed members of the public would be acutely concerned by the prospect of Mr Sejoro being permitted to practice unrestricted without satisfactory demonstration of remedial action.”
Mr Sejoro was not present or represented at the hearing.
