The People’s Assembly and health unions including the SoR are organising an event to celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS, taking place on 30 June at Portland Place in London.

The event starts at 12pm and is open to all. Attendees are welcome to bring family and friends to celebrate and say yes to:

  • A publicly owned NHS that is free for all
  • Proper funding and proper staffing
  • Support for our wonderful NHS workers
  • World class services for every community.

Paul Bromley, SoR London Regional Officer, is co-ordinating the Society’s participation in the event and would like to hear from any members who are planning to attend.

If you are planning to join please email Paul. [email protected]

He said: “This event will have a carnival feel to it and will be a fantastic opportunity for members and their families to give celebration for 70 years of the NHS, our most cherished public institution.

“I look forward to seeing plenty of our members there to celebrate.”

The People’s Assembly will be providing transport from around the country, details of which will be added to its Facebook page in due course.
