Your feedback is needed on dose reference levels

Published: 15 September 2016 Ezine

In preparation for the upcoming review of the UK national dose reference levels for general and fluoroscopy examinations, representatives from the SCoR are working with Public Health England and other professional bodies on establishing new reference levels.

These levels go on to inform UK-wide Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRL's).

As the end users of DRL's, it is important that the radiography community have an input to this review.

Therefore, the SCoR is asking for comments and responses on the following:

  • How do you currently collect your DRL's?
  • How do you set your local DRL's?
  • Do you think it would be beneficial to have DRL’s for both CR and DR?
  • What examinations would you like to see added to the national DRL’s?

Your responses will support this important work across the UK.
