AHPs asked to vote on new uniform colourway

National Healthcare Uniform to be introduced across health service in England

Published: 04 January 2023 Government & NHS

Allied health professionals (AHPs) are being asked which colourway they prefer for the new National Healthcare Uniform.

The uniform will be introduced across the health service in England, with NHS Supply Chain: Hotel Services working on a project to develop it in consultation with NHS staff.

There has been continued engagement with NHS England and the AHP Professional Bodies, including AHP leaders, Provider trusts and Integrated Care Systems.

A solution has been developed through this collaboration and now AHPs are invited to express their preferences for the final decision on the base colour of the uniform.

“As a result of the ongoing workshops, consultations and feedback received, and as agreed with all the AHP professional bodies and NHS England  we have compiled a workforce survey to allow all Allied Health Professionals the opportunity to have input on the base colourway for the AHP uniform across the NHS in England,” said Kevin Chidlo, category tower director, NHS Supply Chain: Hotel Services.

The survey will remain open until 31 January 2023 to allow adequate time for people to express their preference vote.
