Advice to support the safe recommencement of paused or stopped screening services has been published by the SCoR with the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR).
“The guidance within this document is to inform local policy decisions with regard to the delivering of screening services, to ensure that providers meet government recommendations, while still providing client-centred care within the challenging environments of the Covid-19 pandemic and post pandemic (endemic) stage,” the guidance states.
Content includes advice to reduce the risk of infection, management considerations before restarting, and good infection control practice during screening sessions.
