HCPC seeks views on regulating advanced practice

Published: 16 September 2020 HCPC

The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) has opened a survey to support a policy project exploring advanced practice. The council is particularly interested in registrants managing, working or looking to work at advanced or consultant practice level.

Advanced practice is currently not regulated, there is no guidance on the scope of the role nor education programmes, or statutory registration of a practitioner’s level of skill. The survey will support consideration of any regulatory changes to advanced practice with a focus on protecting the public.

The closing date is Friday 25 September. The survey should take between five and 10 minutes to complete. Complete the survey here.
