NHS England and NHS Improvement are seeking a national specialty adviser for imaging to provide clinical advice and leadership.

The senior leadership role will require a healthcare professional to offer:

  • Clinical advice and leadership to drive transformation of services for patients;
  • Clinical advice to support the commissioning of services; and
  • Clinical advice on ad hoc issues to support parliamentary accountability.

“This is a high-profile role advising and supporting diagnostic imaging policy and provision in England,” Richard Evans, the Society’s CEO, said

“The post is open to medically qualified professionals, scientists and allied health professionals, so there is a genuine expectation that radiographers with suitable experience and expertise will be able to apply.”

The position is on secondment on a part time basis (four sessions per week), with the successful candidate joining for a period of up to three years with an annual review of progress.

Applications must be submitted before 25 June. Interviews are expected to take place across 9 and 13 July.
