The College of Radiographers is holding writing retreats for members who intend to apply for accreditation.
Last November a group attended a one-day event at SoR HQ to focus on writing their application for accreditation as a consultant practitioner. A similar event for practice educators was held in April but online this time and this was just as successful.
The purpose of the writing retreats is to give members space and time to focus purely on their applications without any distractions and enable them to make a significant start to their application.
The format of the day included an overview of the particular accreditation scheme, the requirements, and what makes a good application.
Then, participants had the rest of the day to write a section of their application and the facilitators provided feedback. Finally, participants were encouraged to develop an action plan to ensure they kept the momentum going to submit their application.
If you are thinking about accreditation, or just need help to make a start, please consider joining one of our online writing retreats:
Wednesday, 23 September (10am-4 pm) for advanced practitioners
Tuesday, 20 October (10am-4 pm) for practice educators
