The Society wants new posters to celebrate radiographers and their unique contribution to helping patients during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The designers of the four best posters will receive a cash prize and a framed copy of their design. Their posters will be available for download and printing for display in departments.

Members and their families are asked to design one or more posters using the following themes:

  • Radiographers on the frontline
  • Radiographers are key workers
  • Radiographers put the patient first

This is a great opportunity to inform patients and visitors about the profession and the role of radiographers. Get your poster design into departments across the UK and show the public what the profession is all about.

What are the poster design rules?
The only rule is that is that posters must be designed by a member of the Society of Radiographers, or members of their family.

What’s the prize?

  • Cash equivalent to a year’s free membership of the SCoR
  • A framed copy of your poster
  • Your poster printed and displayed in departments across the UK

How do I enter?
Design a poster you believe will do the profession proud and present it in a positive way to the public. You can submit as many entries as you like.

You may use any medium you wish, from paints and pens to Photoshop or Word. It can be a collage, a drawing, or whatever format you prefer and find easiest.

In what format should I send my design?
Scan or take a photo of the design (if it’s not digital) to create a PDF or a jpeg. If you create your concept in a digital program, please send a PDF of the final design.

Email it to us by Sunday, 24 May, 2020.

Who will judge my design?

The Society’s Communications Forum. Members of the group are not eligible to enter.

Remember: You don’t need to be a designer or artist. This is a competition open to all Society members and their families.

Hints and tips:

Richard Evans, the Society’s chief executive officer, says, “Your concept doesn’t need to be perfect. It can be as simple as a pencil sketch. It’s the ideas that are important, not how they are presented.

“Your design will be sensitively translated to a standard that can be printed on a poster. It’s your inspiration we’re looking for. It needs to stand out from the crowd. The more striking the idea, the better!”
