To address the shortage of staff in the mammography workforce, a limited number of training support grants for trusts employing mammography associate (MA) apprentices are being offered.
Health Education England (HEE) are offering £9000 grants, with priority status being given to trusts with high levels of mammographer vacancies, round lengths, or other KPI challenges.
Financial support is available as a one-off payment and should be used by employers to support and facilitate their trainees completing a recognised MA apprenticeship training programme.
