More money to fund clinical placements

The Clinical Placement Expansion Programme is to receive £15million in additional funding to increase radiographer and other AHP placements in the NHS, as well as nurses and midwives.

Health Education England claims the new money is a 50% increase in the funding previously pledged.

It will support 3800 allied health professionals, placement education facilitators and includes £1m for sustainable technologies.

The money has been awarded to hospital trusts, primary care providers and some training hubs across England.
