A new customisable, digital poster has been launched to enhance patient experience and understanding in breast screening departments by introducing patients to the healthcare professionals they may encounter.

Designed to make patients feel more at ease, the poster explains the roles of key team members such as radiographers and mammographers, giving patients insight into who will support them during their appointments.

The concept proposed by Faye Foers, a member of the Society of Radiographers and Consultant Mammographer at Rotherham Hospital, aims to support patients navigating the breast screening process. The poster can be tailored to match each Trust’s specific uniforms, ensuring familiarity for patients and it will also feature the Trust's logo.

In addition, the posters are also interactive and include QR codes that patients can scan to learn more about the female lifetime screening pathway, supporting them with detailed information about their health journey.

Members can request a bespoke poster by specifying uniform details via this form by Monday 18 November. Once designed, the digital poster will be available for them to download, print and display in their department.
