It was with great sadness that the radiography department at Plymouth Hospital learned of the death of our colleague Lynda Ramsay at the age of 55. Lynda passed away peacefully on 19 December 2020 at St Lukes Hospice, Plymouth.

Lynda was a radiographer for 34 years having qualified in 1986 at Whiston Hospital, Liverpool.

In 1988 Lynda joined the team at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, where she earned respect for her professional and caring relationship with colleagues and patients alike. Lynda also took pride in her role as assessor and mentor to the radiography students.

Lynda went on to become a part of the paediatric team for many years and also specialised in bone densitometry, winning the National Osteoporosis Society Hilary Noakes Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2012.
Lynda will be remembered fondly by her colleagues as a good friend and confidante. She will be greatly missed.

Lynda is survived by her husband Alastair and their two daughters Emily and Alice.
