Kourosh Saadat, a second year diagnostic radiography student at Ulster University is raising funds to go to Tanzania and work in a local hospital for his final year elective placement.

“I have the opportunity to do something more than just have a placement. I have the chance to help and give back which is what I am trying to do,” says Kourosh.

“I intend to go to Tanzania and work in a local hospital supporting the local communities and using my skills to help them through a company called Work the World.

No funding

“Unfortunately, there is no funding available to me to help cover the costs and, as many of you are aware, we don’t get paid for our placements.

“For this reason, I am currently holding a Prize Draw which is due to finish on December 12th to help raise money for my placement and for a charity TUHEDA

“This charity works for the main goal of providing healthcare in Tanzania to be of the same standard to that of the UK.”
