The Royal Surrey County Hospital will hold a free event this weekend, giving attendees a chance to view its healthcare facilities, talk to staff and participate in exciting activities.
Taking place on 28 June from 11am to 3pm at the Royal Surrey County Hospital (RSCH) in Guildford, the open day offers anyone interested in healthcare the chance to find out about NHS careers and the future of the Royal Surrey.
Alongside tours of the facilities, including the operating theatres and the new cancer centre, the day will include free face painting, competitions, prizes and interactive activities.

Radiographers will also be running a mystery box game, with participants guessing what’s inside a scanned box based solely on the X-ray. Alongside this will be X-ray themed arts and crafts, a skeleton puzzle and the opportunity to visit some other modalities.
Visitors will also be able to view a presentation on the history of radiology, the role of a radiographer and routes to becoming one in the education room.
To go on one of the available tours, book in at the main reception on the day.
There will also be food, live music and a chance to step inside a fire engine, police car and a first responder unit.
The event is based at Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and the open day route will begin in the front entrance hall.
Visitors’ parking will be free for the duration of the open day – you do not need to buy a ticket. Please park in the visitors’ spaces.
