The Society of Radiographers has launched a series of case studies for members as part of its year-long campaign promoting professionalism.

As part of the initiative, SoR has launched a resource offering scenarios for members to test their responses and help them reflect on interactions with others.

The first of the ‘Professionalism Starts With Us’ scenarios is due to go live on Wednesday 9 September, and members will receive a series of emails setting out realistic situations. They can then can choose their response from a list of multiple-choice answers.

A complex landscape

Sue Johnson, SoR professional officer for clinical imaging, said: “Professionalism matters most when the right course of action is not obvious.

“In today's complex and fast-moving healthcare landscape, professionals regularly face situations where patient care, professional standards, workplace expectations and personal values can pull in different directions.

“These scenarios are designed to encourage reflection, discussion and learning, helping members strengthen their judgement, stay true to their values and navigate the realities of modern practice with confidence, so they can deliver the best possible care for patients.

“I encourage all members to explore the scenarios, share their perspectives and use them as an opportunity to learn from one another's experiences.”

SoR members are encouraged to check their inboxes on Wednesday, September 9 and are invited to use the scenarios to reflect on their practice and approaches.
