NHS Scotland is hosting a series of workshops to create a ‘sustainable and resilient radiology service’.
The target operating model (TOM) workshops are part of a consultation for the Scottish Radiology Transformation Programme (SRTP).
The SRTP is to transform NHS Scotland’s radiology service into ‘a world class, person-centred sustainable radiology service that continually improves the health and wellbeing of the people of Scotland.’
Taking place from 23 - 25 February 2021 with morning, afternoon and evening virtual workshops there are nine opportunities to participate over the three days, sessions are 90 minutes.
The aim for this target operating model is to identify what the organisation, in this case the radiology service, ‘wants to do, how it wants to do it, where, when, who with and who to’.
‘It is critical that the vision and target operating model is owned by the radiology community,’ said a press statement.
In December 2020 the vision and principles were agreed, in January 2021 the current operating model (COM) was defined and in April 2021 the goal is to agree a target operating model (TOM), the next stage a roadmap will be created.
