SoR members are being encouraged to sign up for the forthcoming Annual Radiotherapy Conference 2026.
ARC 2026 will take place in the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre from 18-19 September. The conference will see members of the multi-professional oncology workforce gather to listen to keynote speakers and watch panel discussions across the packed two-day itinerary.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Pathways with Purpose’, with the sessions structured to follow the full radiotherapy care pathway. Attendees will attend sessions covering initial patient contact and planning, treatment delivery, and living with cancer and beyond.
As well as participating in the packed itinerary, attendees will be able to network with peers and form lasting connections with industry professionals.
Conference session highlights include:
An optional three-course dinner and social event will take place from 7pm-10pm on day one of the conference.
Laura Charlesworth, the SoR’s professional officer for education and accreditation, said the importance of ARC cannot be understated. “ARC is more than a conference; it is a cornerstone event for the radiotherapy workforce,” she said. “The event provides a rare opportunity for the multiprofessional community to come together in one place, at one time, with a shared focus on advancing radiotherapy practice.
“The conference is designed to be large enough to showcase innovation and excellence across the profession yet focused enough to foster meaningful networking and lasting professional connections.”
She added that ARC becomes a routine event for many Therapeutic Radiographers, who can track their career progress through attending the conference in different roles.
“For many, myself included, the Annual Radiotherapy Conference becomes part of the professional journey, attending early in your career and then revisiting as a presenter of research or service evaluation, and perhaps one day experiencing the event from the perspective of the co- chair,” she said.
“There are few events that provide the same sense of continuity, professional growth and shared purpose. We hope to see you there.”
Two-day delegate passes for the conference cost £380 for SoR members and £506 for non-members. ARC 2026 is CPD Now endorsed.
