New members needed for Radiography Journal’s international editorial team

If you are passionate about radiographer research, why not apply to join Radiography Journal’s editorial team as a member of the International Advisory Group (IAG)?

The journal is looking for experienced researchers and early career researchers from around the world to join, and applications are invited from all regions and areas of expertise, especially within the specialties of therapeutic radiography, mammography, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.

Applications from colleagues in Scandinavia, Africa, North and South America are particularly welcome.

Ideal applicants will have a radiography qualification and at least five years’ experience working in radiography clinical practice, management, research or education environments; experience in writing for publication and a relevant publication record; a good understanding of the radiography discipline and its policy and practice; and some understanding of editorial activity, including peer reviewing or editorial board experience.

The role

  • To provide expert advice to the editorial leadership team regarding radiography within your discipline, subject area and geographical area.
  • Review and comment upon relevant documents where requested to support the editorial leadership team.
  • Where requested by editorial board members (IAG representatives), suggest appropriate items for presentation/consideration at the editorial board.
  • Register as a reviewer for the journal and undertake regular reviews as requested.
  • Submit papers for consideration by the journal, promote the journal to experienced authors (for publication and citation) and support novice authors to prepare manuscripts where appropriate.
  • Represent and promote the journal at local and international conferences.
