Use your trade union

SoR members are being reminded to make swift use of the advice and support available from the Society if they have a problem at work.

"Early intervention can make a significant difference to the outcome," commented Dean Rogers, the Society's director of industrial strategy and member relations.

"If you have received a letter from the Health and Care Professions Council regarding a complaint made against you, or if you have had an injury or long-term condition caused by work, it is essential that you immediately contact the Society to ensure appropriate representation is provided," Dean continued.

"Similarly, if you are involved in an incident which has the potential to lead to a patient complaint against you or your employer, make sure you act fast to receive the advice and support on offer."
