The Society’s Equality and Diversity Network, Equalise, has declared its support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement and condemned the killing of George Floyd in America.
"Equalise is proud to stand side by side with individuals and groups across the world to shout, ‘BLACK LIVES MATTER’, and to call for an immediate end to discrimination in all of its forms,” Peter Higgs, the Society's national equality officer, said.
The Black Lives Matter Global Network ‘builds power to bring justice, healing, and freedom to black people across the globe.’
