SoR has published a position statement on radiographer involvement in non-surgical cosmetic aesthetic procedures carried out for purely cosmetic purposes.
Developed following conversations with the HCPC, SoR's statement specifies that non-surgical cosmetic aesthetic procedures fall outside the recognised scope of radiographic professional practice.
This means that radiographers undertaking aesthetic practice:
The SoR's position applies to all non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including but not limited to injectable treatments, chemical peels and microneedling and cosmetic laser and light-based therapies.
