The theme is ‘The Future’, focusing on how we can prepare you for success in your studies and career. We have a jam-packed programme featuring live webinars, videos, podcasts, social takeovers, articles and opinion pieces plus some fun fringe events (Disco Yoga anyone?), that has been developed in collaboration with the SoR UK Student Representative Forum.

Leaning into Leadership
Thursday 4 February

This session is a celebration of student leadership. Come along and listen to the stories and experiences shared by students and new graduate radiographers, as they display leadership at all levels, from first year through to new graduate. With members of the SoR UK Student Representative Forum, '#150Leaders' alumni, and 2019 UK Student Radiographer of the Year, we will be discussing the concept of leadership and its impact on you, and those around you. There is a leader in everyone, and this session will explore this through storytelling, informal conversation, and Q&A.

Dissecting Dissertations

This session is designed to go through what to expect, how to manage and how to cope with the scary-sounding final year dissertation. Our helpful panel are here to offer advice and tips and to answer questions about this anxiety-inducing topic.

Enhancing Your Employability and Preparation for Practice

Confused about how to write an effective personal statement, nail an interview, or set career goals? This session will give you a wealth of information about preparing for qualification, improving your employability and developing your profile as a diagnostic or therapeutic radiographer. It will provide inspiration and motivation, with practical tips and case studies for everyone to realise their career ambitions and some ideas on how you too can get involved in promoting the profession and inspiring the future workforce.

This fringe session is being organised by a group of BSc Diagnostic Radiography students at the University of Leeds.

Week 4

Using e-LfH to Enhance Your Learning
Tuesday 23 February

This session will explore the e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) Clinical Imaging programme. It will begin with a walkthrough of the e-LfH platform with information on how to access the site and an update on the Clinical Imaging programme. The second part will involve a demonstration of a session showing the interactivity, animations and evaluation sections and discussing how this can all be used to enhance your learning both now and post qualification.

Window to the Forum: SoR UK Student Representative Forum Open Meeting

Confidence in the Workplace

All the hard work, stressful exams, and many hours on placement have finally paid off and you’re preparing to take on your first post as a practising radiographer. This session will cover how to prepare for this role and how to navigate your first few months as a newly qualified radiographer. We will discuss building your confidence, fitting into your team, preceptorship, where to go for support and information, and will be happy to answer any questions you have about starting an exciting career in radiography.
