The SoR are offering more time for radiology service managers to complete the Diagnostic Radiography Workforce census. Managers now have until Monday 30 June to contribute vital workforce data that will be used to help shape the future of the radiographic profession.
As both a professional body and trade union representing the entire radiographic workforce, the SoR use census data to inform policy, influence decision-makers, and advocate for diagnostic radiography services across the UK.
Charlotte Beardmore, the SoR’s executive director of professional policy, said:
“Now more than ever, accurate workforce insights are essential – helping to influence policymakers and secure the support the profession deserves. As diagnostic imaging continues to gain recognition for its crucial role in healthcare, your input will directly impact the profession’s growth, development, and future opportunities.”
By taking part, managers ensure that the SoR, workforce planners, and education providers have the accurate, up-to-date information they need to support, influence, and advocate effectively for the profession.
The 15-minute survey asks for information about your department and workforce, including:
Managers overseeing multiple sites should submit a single consolidated response for all locations.
The deadline to complete the census is Monday 30 June 2025. If you haven’t received a direct invitation, please complete the sign-up form to receive the survey link.
