The Society of Radiographers’ 2025 Diagnostic Workforce Census is now open, and radiology service managers are being urged to complete it by 13 June.

The data collected will play a vital role in shaping the future of the radiographic workforce. By completing the census, managers will help ensure that the SoR, workforce planners, and education providers have the accurate, up-to-date information needed to support, influence, and advocate for the profession.

Workforce insights are essential

The SoR’s executive director of professional policy, Charlotte Beardmore, said: “Now more than ever, accurate workforce insights are essential – helping to influence policymakers and secure the support the profession deserves. As diagnostic imaging continues to gain recognition for its crucial role in healthcare, your input will directly impact the profession’s growth, development, and future opportunities”.

How to complete the survey

Managers are asked to provide information on all staff across the career framework – from support workers to advanced and consultant practitioners. Those managing multiple sites, are required to submit one response for all.

The survey runs from 1 May to 13 June. If you haven't already received an email invitation to the census, complete our sign-up form.
