Published: 04 August 2022 Surveys

New inclusive guidance from the Society of Radiographers (Inclusive pregnancy status guidelines for ionising radiation, 2021) was developed to improve radiographers understanding of the complexities associated with the health and care needs of those with gender diversity and those with diversity in their physical sex characteristics.

The University of Salford are conducting a research study where they aim to investigate UK IR(ME)R operator and student radiographers' on their awareness of the new inclusive pregnancy status guidelines for ionising radiation.

Supported by the College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme (CoRIPS) Research Grants, the University of Salford would like to invite you to take part by filling in a quick 10 minute survey.

Study Information

Are you:

  • A student completing a pre-registration BSc or MSc diagnostic radiography course accredited by SOR?
  • UK HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered diagnostic radiographer (at any level)?
  • An assistant practitioner or technologist working in diagnostic radiography, mammography or nuclear medicine?

If so, then we would like to invite you to undertake a survey about new inclusive pregnancy status guidelines produced by the Society of Radiographers.

If you participate in this study, you will be asked to take part in an anonymous online questionnaire which should take approximately 10 minutes. The questionnaire is completely anonymous, and you are free to withdraw from the survey at any point before submission.

The information you give could build upon current knowledge and identify training needs for providing person-centered care to individuals with gender diversity and those with diversity in their physical sex characteristics during diagnostic imaging procedures.

You can either scan the QR code or click the button below to be taken to the questionnaire.
