The Jarvis Breast Centre has entered into a voluntary recognition agreement with the Society of Radiographers (SoR), marking a significant step toward strengthening collaboration and enhancing support for radiography professionals.
Located in Guildford, Surrey, the Jarvis Breast Centre is one of England’s largest NHS breast screening services and is operated by InHealth. This agreement, established in November, reflects both organisations’ commitment to fair representation, workplace equality, and continuous improvement for staff.
Richard Evans, CEO of the Society of Radiographers, said: "Strong working relationships benefit everyone. When employers and unions collaborate, it creates a positive environment that supports staff and ultimately improves services for patients.
"This agreement between SoR and InHealth at the Jarvis Centre underlines that commitment. We recognise the pressures facing healthcare services today, and this partnership ensures we can work together on initiatives that prioritise wellbeing and professional development.
Under the agreement, the SoR will represent its members collectively on matters such as terms and conditions, recruitment, and workplace policies, enabling constructive engagement on key issues.
Maz Fosh, chief people officer at InHealth, said: "We value open dialogue and collaboration. This agreement reflects our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our employees."
