A consultation for members of the SoR in Northern Ireland has opened, inviting radiographers in the region to participate in the 2025/26 pay award consultation.
Opened on Wednesday 10 December, the consultation will run until midnight on Sunday 4 January, giving members a chance to confirm whether or not they accept the pay award, as recommended by the Pay Review Body, of 3.6 per cent for 2025/26.
If not accepted, members will be asked if they are willing to undertake industrial action.
The SoR has now received formal commitment from the Minister of Health, Mike Nesbitt – and by the Department of Health, in a pay circular – that Agenda for Change (AfC) pay bands will maintain pay parity for the full year 2025/26.
Health workers can now expect at least 11 months of retrospective pay on their March 2026 pay dates.
This pay uplift is for Agenda for Change Staff covered by national AfC Terms and Conditions of Service and applies from 1 April 2025. It uplifts the pay rates of Agenda for Change staff effective from 1 April 2025.
Salary scales for Agenda for Change staff have a 3.6 per cent consolidated increase on top of the pay scales for Agenda for Change Pay Arrangements 2024-25. A 3.6 per cent increase to the sleep-in and on-call allowance will be applied to all HSC staff employed under AfC terms and conditions, and the provisions for incremental pay progression continue to apply where eligible.
The society will remain engaged and focused into the early New Year on full delivery of the minister’s commitments related to pay for 2026/27, and is recommending members accept the current offer.
Members in Northern Ireland will shortly receive an email with a personalised link to the consultation.
