UK radiographers to feature at major international advanced practice conference

22 June, 2018

A host of UK radiographers and researchers will be flying the flag among a field of international experts at the International Leading the Way: Radiographer Advanced Practice conference in Toronto on 21-22 October.

The event, organised collaboratively by the SCoR, the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists, Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy and the Society of Radiology Physician Extenders, will feature a host of leading radiographers discussing and sharing ideas around advanced practice.

Johnathon McConnell, Consultant Radiographer at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will be presenting a keynote session during the event.

Also present will be Rachel Harris, Professional and Education Manager at the Society, plus Nick Woznitza from Homerton University Hospital, among many others.

Rachel commented: “This event, of which the Society is one of the lead organisers, is a unique opportunity for advanced practitioners to share ideas with their international colleagues and peers.

“The corresponding event held in Sheffield in 2016 was a fantastic success, with some lively discussions and invaluable presentations from leading and inspiring advanced practitioners.

“I encourage all advanced practitioners, or aspiring APs, to register if they can!”

Registration is now open, further details are available on the event website
