Deadline extended for SoR sonography study day

The ultrasound event aims to help sonographers progress their careers

The deadline to register for the forthcoming SoR study day focused on helping sonographers progress their careers has been extended.

The new deadline to register for the ‘How Do I Progress My Ultrasound Career?’ event is Monday, 23 February at 5pm.

Taking place at 44 Hallam Street, London, on Tuesday 3 March from 9am to 4.30pm, the study day will feature a number of speakers from across the ultrasound and sonographer workforce. The line-up includes a clinical specialist sonographer, a trainee consultant radiographer sonographer and a practice educator lead.

Gill Harrison, the Society of Radiographers’ professional officer for ultrasound, will conduct several sessions, including a workshop. One of these sessions is focused on the College of Radiographers’ Education and Career Framework (ECF) and mapping tools, and how they can help career progression and planning.

Guidance from experts

The study day will provide in-depth information on a number of different topics. Programme highlights include:

  • Expert talks on the roles available across ultrasound
  • Discussions of ultrasound in relation to endometriosis, breast imaging and early pregnancy
  • How ultrasound careers can be progressed and future-proofed in our innovative age, taking AI into consideration
  • A workshop on sonographer-specific career guidance in the ECF

Attendees will also be able to network and connect with their peers.
