Researchers

We recognise that the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic has implications for our research communities, especially those situated in clinical practice. SCoR members must of course prioritise patient care and frontline services at this time. We will work with patients, public and practitioners in partnership to support evolving needs in the coming months. Members are welcome to progress CoRIPS research if possible, however, SCoR understand that there will be delays and amendments to plans over the coming months. The impact on research activities may not be realised for some time but we do expect that there will be delay to current work in the areas of research and innovation that are not directly related to Covid-19. Any enquiries can be directed to pande@sor.org thanks.

The objects for which the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) is established include:

“To promote study and research work in radiography and radiotherapeutic technology and allied subjects and to publish the results of all such study and research.”

Evidence based practice in health care means that all clinical decisions should be based on research studies and that these research studies are selected and interpreted according to some specific norms characteristic.

Radiographers need to gather accurate information or evidence to support their professional practice so they can understand, get involved in using and determine what is best practice so that the highest quality service can be delivered.
