Job Title: Professional Officer: Education and Accreditation (Reference SOR053)
Hours: 0.4 WTE
Schedule: Monday and Tuesday
The Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) are two separate companies operating together to provide service and support for those involved in radiography. Together they comprise the professional body and trade union for those practicing in medical imaging and radiotherapy. The Society of Radiographers (SoR) are looking to recruit an Education and Accreditation Officer. The work of the College continues to increase with new educational programmes seeking College approval in response to growing demand and the considerable change in both healthcare and higher education. The post holder will work alongside three other education and accreditation officers contributing to the work of the team and enabling the Society and College to further develop its education and individual accreditation work, comprehensively, to the highest level. The provision of appropriate, effective, and efficient education and individual accreditation services to education providers, and members of the Society of Radiographers is a fundamental responsibility of the post.
We are seeking an experienced Professional Officer who has a broad understanding of health & social care policy, and recognised leadership and expertise in education and practice. As this is a specialised role you will be a HCPC registered radiographer. You will have a working knowledge and understanding of radiography professions, the pre and post registration and continuing education requirements as well as individual accreditation work. You will support the development, dissemination and implementation of policy, strategy and guidance in this critical area for the Society and College of Radiographers across the UK and advise on, manage and quality assure the education and individual accreditation services of the organisation.
This role is available on a part-time and permanent basis, working 14 hours per week on Mondays and Tuesdays only.

Location: HQ (Bermondsey) Hybrid Working or Homeworking
Salary: Grade D1 - £61,147 per annum (pro rata) plus
London weighting - £6,559 (HQ / Hybrid)
Homeworkers Allowance: £1,126
Plus£312 (Hybrid)
