ADC 2020

The Delegates Conference Committee (DCC) has decided, after careful consideration, to cancel this year’s Annual Delegates’ Conference.

The DCC statement said, "While we appreciate this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we are taking to prioritise the safety of our delegates. We want to be sensitive to the pressures and challenges our members are currently facing at this time, therefore believe it is in the best interest of those involved not to proceed with this year’s ADC."

What happens next?
In order to use the many excellent motions previously submitted, each region and country is being asked to select three of their approved motions, which will then be submitted to SCoR UK Council. These motions will be discussed and, if approved, will be actioned.

If the conference had taken place, the Covid-19 pandemic would have brought many emergency motions. An event will be organised later in the year, possibly a virtual forum, for all regions/countries to have their input into learning outcomes and how, as an organisation, we can take issues forward.

The Rep of the Year for each region/country and the overall winner, will be notified of their success and they will be celebrated in the June issue of Synergy News. They will be invited to ADC 2021, along with the 2021 winners, to salute their outstanding contributions.

"The Delegates Conference Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your understanding and look forward to working together with you in ensuring a successful 2021 ADC.

"If you have any general questions about ADC, please do not hesitate to contact us."
