BIR Sustainability Study Day

This one-day educational event will demonstrate why sustainable measures must be embedded throughout our practice. Focusing on measures that can readily be implemented in imaging and radiotherapy departments, participants will be equipped with practical advice to prevent waste and unnecessary carbon cost.

An emphasis on lean, realistic practice can help reduce clinical burden, helping to make departments sustainable in every sense.

As a cross-discipline event, it will also promote discussion and initiatives to help embed low-carbon practice along similar lines to the ALARA principle used in relation to ionizing radiation.
