New and innovative approaches to care of this patient group will be discussed and some of the unique and evolving roles within the speciality.
This study day is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive overview of the specific care needs and challenges faced by teenage and young adult (TYA) cancer patients. Participants will explore innovative and evidence-based approaches to TYA oncology care, and speakers include a wide range of MDT experts working within this evolving cancer specialty. The day will focus on how we as health and social care professionals can enhance both the clinical and holistic care that we provide to TYAs and will include an opportunity to hear directly from young people with lived experience of cancer in regards to how they would like their oncology care to be delivered and what matters to them the most.
This study day is aimed at medical, nursing and allied health care professionals who have an interest in care of teenage and young adult patients with cancer. No previous experience is necessary.
